Mid-March 2025 Newsletter
Hello, and a marvelous mind-expanding Mid-March to you!
Welcome, or welcome back, to my newsletter.
Today's issue is about what you're teaching your visual system.
Enjoy!
What are you teaching your eyes?

Most parents would say they want their children to grow up to be good kind helpful people who respect themselves and others. Yet when the kids see Mom and Dad insulting each other or treating a stranger or even a pet cruelly,
they are getting a very different message. It's a truism that the young learn from what we do, not from what we tell them.
|
If your eyes were your children, would they feel loved, like you cared about their concerns? When you force them to work long hours staring at a screen, with no breaks of taking them for a walk to look at the colors of Nature, how do
you think they feel? Your visual system enjoys playing and movement just like children do. Let your eyes have some fun, and they'll be much more willing to help you get your tasks done. And please let up on the pressure to go as fast
as possible, as if everything's a crisis.

When I was a child in glasses that kept getting stronger at every visit to the eye doctor, my mother often worried aloud about "Nancy's bad eyes". She didn't mean to criticize, she was just concerned about me, but it still made me feel
defective. Think of how a teacher can call a student "stupid", then the student takes on that label and believes it about himself. Please watch how you talk about your precious eyes which do so much for you. When I hear a client say something negative
about their vision, like "I'm blind without my glasses", I remind them that their eyes are listening!
|
It took me a while to develop confidence in my unaided vision. People have told me "I have to put my eyes on" when they reach for their reading glasses, which horrifies me. They are totally negating the abilities of their actual eyes! Needing a little help and support while
you strengthen your own capabilities and become less dependent on glasses is one thing. Believing you need glasses to function, like you need oxygen, is another. The latter is dismissing the power of your visual system, and locking you into dependence
on those "eye cages" forever.
|
My own visual confidence grew slowly, after all those years trapped behind thick glasses, hardly doing anything at all without them. If only it were as easy as taking a Confidence pill! It is extremely satisfying, though, to notice something I couldn't see before,
or to spot something without glasses I formerly needed correction to decipher. Finding a small item I drop on the floor right away, or backing my car into the garage without glasses, can still give me a little thrill. Years ago there's no way I could have
accomplished this. These seemingly minor "vision victories" deserve to be celebrated, and will give you more energy to keep going forward.

To return to the teacher and student metaphor, you might consider praising your visual system for doing something you like, or thanking it, not just taking it for granted and pushing it even harder. I spent well over an hour shoveling snow this week,
then went out for a walk right before dark when everything was covered with white, which helped me see really well. Back inside, I glanced at the eye chart and was startled at how clear the letters were. Notice and appreciate these moments of better sight,
don't just dismiss them as a fluke. Maybe this is how you're meant to see all the time, with no effort. Enjoy that, and look forward to more of it.

Let me know what you've wondered about concerning energy medicine
or vision or dreams. I'll be glad to write a short article addressing
that topic. Thank you to those who have sent me questions, or see
a question you asked me in a private session written about here.
You're helping many other people!
Enjoy the remainder of this mood-lifting month of March.
I'll write again in a few weeks. Take care!
